After extensive education and employment in the fields of art education and deaf education, I eventually devoted the majority of my time to studio ceramics. In 1985 I began working with glass, incorporating my love of surface design and experience with glazes into this new medium.
I have been a working craftsperson for 25 years and have shown in galleries in the US, Canada, and Japan. Since 1990 I have exhibited in the American Craft Council shows as well as in galleries in the Pacific Northwest. More recently I have concentrated on commissioned pieces in which I, as the designer and coordinator, collaborate with architects, lighting consultants, and metalsmiths.
My studio is in Ballard, a marine / industrial neighborhood of Seattle.
